.Cold or Not?.

Wednesday I needed to go into the office to fax off some papers. The roads were icky and the driveway was covered with snow. I had no other choice though..waiting on Aaron could have taken all day. So I decided I would need to shovel the driveway to get out. I bundled up and got to it. There was SO much snow!! It took me close to an hour because I decided to just do the walkway too. I finally got it done and headed down to the office. I ended up staying there most of the day to avoid driving back in the icky snow.

I finally headed home about 5:30 PM so I could make dinner. When I got home I saw that my shoveling job had gone to waste...I wasn't about to let that happen. So I took Brookie in the house, set her down with a movie in the living room, and went at it again. This time I shoveled the sidewalk too..it took me another 30 minutes to get it all done for the 2nd time. I was pretty proud of myself. I don't think I have ever shoveled snow in my life.

Later that night I got this AWFUL headache. I was in tears and couldn't even stand up for too long without feeling like I was going to pass out. I tried to brave it out by myself, but I couldn't. I finally called Aaron and begged him to come home and just lay with me on the couch and take care of Brookie.

Bedtime came and Brookie was not having it. 5 stories later she was standing at the top of the stairs crying for us to come get her. I wasn't in the mood to fight with her so I just brought her to bed with us. My head was still pounding at this point after taking Sudafed and Tylenol. Needless to say, I barely slept that night for many reasons. Brooklyn kept waking up fussy and having to move around so she was touching both Aaron and I all night. My head hurt so bad that I could only lay in a few positions that were even slightly comfortable. My throat was dry as a desert and my nose was all stuffed up. The combination was a mess!! I figured that A) I had a really bad cold and was having drainage down my throat *ick* B) I pulled something in my back or shoulder during all the shoveling I did.

Lesson learned : I will NEVER shovel snow again!
