Today was particularly exhausting. I wish I could say it is because I got a lot done. Sadly, that is not the case.
Lily has started a phase where if Brooklyn so much as LOOKS at her wrong, she has a MASSIVE meltdown. Throw yourself to the ground, crocodile tears, won't stop until Mommy has her in her arms and is consoling her meltdown.
Of course, there are plenty of times where Brooklyn actually does something to provoke it, but most of the time, Lily just doesn't like the way Brooklyn is doing things.
Lily's communication skills have suddenly advanced to a level I didn't know she was old enough for. She can literally tell me anything she wants in a fairly understandable sentence. She still talks a lot of jibberish when other people are around and she is trying to carry on a conversation like her big sister. It's amazing to me how much a 21 Month Old can understand once they start communicating back.
My favorite thing that Lily has started doing is singing her own version of the lullabies that I sing to her and Brookie every night.
Her three that she is getting the best at are
"Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" which in her version goes "Up above the (insert jibberish)
"Rock A Bye Baby" which goes "Rock a Baby"
and "Baby of Mine" which goes "Baby Mine, Baby Mine" over and over.
So, I guess you could say, no matter how much Lily exhausts me...she always makes up for it with the fun side of her crazy little personality.
